Who we are
Brompton Experiences is a Singapore-based travel company that creates small-group overseas cycling tours for people who want to experience a destination at the perfect pace, on a Brompton, without the stress of planning every detail.
From carefully designed routes and comfortable accommodation to luggage support and local experiences, we take care of the logistics so you can simply enjoy the ride. Every tour is timed for the best riding season and thoughtfully planned to create memorable journeys across Asia and Europe.
Our community is made up of passionate Brompton riders, many in their 40s, 50s and beyond, who share a love for travel, adventure and discovering new places on two wheels.
How it started
During the 2020 lockdown, Eugene explored Singapore on the Brompton he had been riding since 2008. By then it wasn't a new bike to him. He had already folded it into overhead compartments and taxi boots across Japan and South Korea, riding wherever the good roads began.
Lockdown gave him time to really look at his own city the same way. He realised something simple: most people would love to travel like this. Very few would ever plan it themselves.
So he started planning it for them. Brompton Experiences was founded in August 2020, and has led more than 20 overseas tours, with a weekly club ride in Singapore that has grown into a community of its own.
What we do differently
Our guests have limited time to travel. They want the model answers, not the experiments. So we do the trial and error first, testing every route, finding the tables you'd never find alone, and solving the quiet problems before they become yours.
Routes tested first
We ride every route before you do. We skip the boring stretches and ride only the legs worth riding.
No solo traveller left out
Solo travellers never make up their own numbers. Everyone is part of the group.
Riders trained
Riders who have never cycled more than a few kilometres get trained gently, until a full tour feels natural.
Why the Brompton
Today we tour on the Brompton because it folds, flies well, and is loved worldwide. Every bike on our tours is an original Brompton with original parts, so one spare inner tube fits every rider.
We won't tell you it never breaks. Bikes are bikes. What we will tell you is that we know this one inside out, tour after tour, so a hiccup gets fixed in minutes and never derails your holiday.
It also happens to be the best-looking bike on the road. Every stop becomes a photo worth keeping.
